Cala Saona is a cove in Formentera. Sheltered from N, NE, E, SE, S and SW winds; exposed to W and NW winds.
A cove of fine white sand about 140 m long on Formentera's west coast, between orange rock cliffs, with the fishermen's boathouses on one side. The water is calm and very clear over a sandy bottom; it faces west and is exposed to westerly winds. There are sunloungers and restaurants, and in summer it is usually busy.
Arena suggests 12 spots to anchor on sand, clear of Posidonia; the closest to the meadow is 150 m away.
Approximate depth: 3–7 m (EMODnet bathymetry).
Anchoring on Posidonia is forbidden: the app shows the meadow on the map and warns you if the anchor would land on it.
Dinner only.
