Cala de Boix is a cove in Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza. Sheltered from N, NE, SW, W and NW winds; exposed to SE and S winds.
A cove about 160 m long with fine dark sand, said to be the only beach of its kind on Ibiza, below cliffs covered in pine and juniper, with Tagomago in view. It sits in a bay partly sheltered from the wind by Cap de Campanitx, and its clear water contrasts with the dark sand; a few loose rocks rise along the shore. By land you go down a long staircase, and on the cliff top there are restaurants serving Ibizan food.
Arena suggests 1 spots to anchor on sand, clear of Posidonia; the closest to the meadow is 20 m away.
Approximate depth: 0.8 m (EMODnet bathymetry).
Anchoring on Posidonia is forbidden: the app shows the meadow on the map and warns you if the anchor would land on it.
